Slate Hall Riding Centre
Alongside Springwood is Slate Hall Riding Centre. We have a varied selection of horses and ponies from 11.2hh to 16.2hh and can offer lessons and treks suitable for both novice and experienced riders.
Open every day in the Summer 9am - 5pm.
Winter, usually mornings and weekends only. Riding times change daily so please give us a ring to book your ride.

Lessons in our all weather arena - |

One hour country hack around quiet public roads. Mainly walking but trotting and cantering is an option suitable for beginner and novice riders.

One and a half hour Greenhill ride on the beach and in the country. This is an intermediate ride.

One hour beach ride on a public road to the North beach. These rides can be forward going and are only suitable for confident and experienced riders (ie. competent at a fast canter)

Two hour beach ride similar to the above but the ride extends on to Bamburgh beach and the castle.

Half day ride is a 3-4 hour ride on the south beaches to Newton Bay via Beadnell.

Beach rides are for experienced riders only. Please state your level of experience if you wish you book a beach ride.
Livery services are available. Prices on application.

Riding is a high risk sport and we recommend you take out a personal accident insurance. |
